Last Day of Conference..... Wellllll WA once the strongest state in NLC with at least one National Exec on NLC and now we lost everything... One saddest thing is that even the business committee, Curtin are not able to get any position... :(... nvm of that now i guess!!!! we will have to move on....
WA new born group.
Today, I am so proud of the outcome, WA is seen as one state agian with no seperation on the floor on how they think and work. NLC West will soon be a commercialised non profit organisation. It will be my objective to ensure we are able to secure the deal with an organisation to provide such services like International Students Email address during thier stay in Australia. it will also be used as a communication point for them to get in touch with all international students from country.
It will be my time to ensur everythhing can work out and i will have to come out with a business proposal to ensure it can work and able to function in ways that all international students in WA able to get in touch with one another.
Let it be the time for us to grow. and time for us to find new ways to deal with it. I love my international students in australia... so we can just forget all the politics in NLC and move with our life.... i will support the newly appointed NC, NGS, NCC. they will gain my support but not my respect until they prove to me that they are capable. :D... SERVING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS is my aim and shall remain so..... :P

trepidation is the word. i would be careful (very careful) not to 'run' the organisation as a business (horror!), but to remember it's a student representative organisation at heart.
just some of the things you're saying already makes me cringe. i would gladly give up the email idea, than to have a tie-in with a commercial entity.
hehehe... finally got ppl reply my blog so quick... the turth is i don't how the commercilising work. but i will always go back to the legend like shanton, naomi, adrian and nic for that. i know it has been part of nlc policies... so i have to find out how can we ensure that NLC will be able to have stable income tio represent its student.. sho securing a deal with another organisation is basically trying to ensure that our student rep not to be into the business think except for major decision. All commerical business/ or should i say services for international can be implemented to enhance the reputation of NLC WEST and with the external bodies and the linking the international students together. :D... anyway thanks for all the advise. my aim is to ensure our international get the best service for all.
If the university cannot provide such services let, CISWA and NLC WEST do it... and prove to them we can do a better job.... :P
